Cataloguing and Classification of Library Resources in the 21st Century: /ch Both traditional and digital libraries are the storehouse of information and indispensable in this age of computerization and digitization of information.

Cataloguing systems have evolved through the centuries as more and more works were published. From monastic manuscripts to books to ebooks to websites, each type of material needs to be classified. Cataloguing in Publication, or CIP as it is commonly known, is prepared by librarians ahead of a book’s launch date.
